today A went to her first day of school. it was a trial day where you go with a parent. it's close to our house and it's really cute. it's bilingual, the native language and english. as i sat there watching her start from my lap and slowly moving on her own to join the class, i almost started balling. my little baby is growing up. i can't believe it. she's going to school... making friends... playing... taking care of our kitten... what's next? she'll start going next week, three times a week for three hours. it'll be exciting.
the best thing though is how much she has grown to love the Word. i've been praying that it wouldn't be like a forced thing, but that she would initiate and love reading. every morning, nap and night she wants to read a story from the bible. this bible is good that after each story, there are good follow up questions. again it's just been bringing up good conversations. last night she said, "i really love Jesus mommy". then today i we were talking about something and she was talking about how Jesus is in her heart and she has to listen to His voice. as A was taking her bath today, i told her how grown up she is getting and she said, "Jesus is growing me". i'm so glad that He is taken control of her life at such an early age and praying that He will continually grow her.
i love my little girl... please continue to pray for her and me as i parent her alone.
