yesterday was the start of ramadan. it has been such a blessing being with my family in the neighborhood. even though they know that i follow Jesus, they brought over dinner of us for the first opening of fast. it was quite eventful. at three in the morning i heard people knocking on doors to wake each other up to eat before the first call to prayer. then around 6, families gathered in their home to open their fasting with sweet drinks and good food.
my flu is finally going away still not 100%, but getting there. friday after feeling better about my flu, my stomach issue started again and i was wasted by friday night. so finally saturday i went to the doctor and got medicine for my stomach. the stomach has been like an ongoing thing and i think when i had the flu, since i wasn't eating much, there was no reason to run to the bathroom, but once i started feeling better... anyway, praying that the stomach issue will be done soon and i'll be 100% myself in the next couple days.
today i was out on my porch and my friend, N came over. we sat and talked. she told me that about a burglary two houses away from mine. the family had gone to relative's house out of the city and someone came in and took money, a gas tank (that's really important here), food and some other things. N said, "it started already". please pray over our house. please pray that no one will come in here and that A and i will be safe. it started already.
please just continue to pray for us here as a new week begins.
